[edit] Electoral Systems
- Members of the Scottish Parliament are elected using the Additional Member System (AMS).
- Members of the United Kingdom Parliament are elected by First Past the Post.
- Scotlands MEPs are elected using the D'Hondt Method.
- Local Councillors are currently elected by First Past the Post. However from 2007 they will be elected by Single Transferable Vote.
[edit] Campaigning Organisations
Fairshare is Scotland's Campaign to change the way local councillors are elected, the campaign has succeeded and from 2007 Single Transferable Vote will be used.
