British Columbia is a Canadian province which recently had its own a Citizens' Assembly on voting systems. The Assembly recommended Single Transferable Vote this was then put to referendum. Whilst a majority of those voting supported the referendum it failed to meet the 'double sixty rule' and so it was not binding.
