(Redirected from Borda Count)
The Borda Count is a voting system where voters are asked to number the candidates in order of preference. Where there are n candidates, each candidate receives:
- n points for every time they are listed as a first preference
- n-1 points for every second preference
- n-2 points for ever third preference (and so on...)
- 1 point for every last preference
In a single position election the candidate with the most points is the winner.
